This song was written and performed using a Roland SH-01A and Korg Kaossilator. It was written at a similar time to Anxiety. Both songs have references to ‘the occupier’. To crack the lyrical code here all we need to know is who, or what, the occupier is. Everyone has an occupier and it is that part of the personality that works against the individual. It may be there for a fleeting moment and swept aside by acknowledgement, or rise and fall throughout a lifetime. It is self-absorption and imposter syndrome rolled into a personality trait that can be managed and thereby supressed, but never completely removed. Understand how to deal with the occupier and you understand your own inner challenges and conflicts.
